Job Title: Senior Systems Analyst
Location: Sarasota, Florida or Fort Worth, Texas
SUMMARY:
The Senior Systems Analyst is responsible for development, enhancement, direction and management of Universal’s online agent and consumer portals; wwww.UIHNA.com and MyUniversal. This individual will be responsible for project management, collaboration, documentation, coordination and long term planning for the expansion and evolution of UNA’s online presence. In conjunction with UNA’s legacy system development, the Senior Systems Analyst would work in concert with 3rd party vendors/software development resources, to manage and expand the company’s online presence and site functionality.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Senior Systems Analyst oversees and ensures successful completion of company goals and objectives, while executing UNA’s online strategies within the following systems and UNA site functions:

Coordinates and manages web support for Universal North America; including the oversite of consumer issue resolutions relating to UNA website access, creating accounts, making payments, etc.

Responsible for the management and support of the online agent and consumer portals; http://www.uihna.com/ and “My Universal”; collecting requirements from stakeholders, analyzing reports, interacting with designers to understand system limitations, identify solutions to business problems, specify requirements in enough detail to allow them to be successfully implemented by a project team to meet the business needs.

Maintenance, development, enhancements, quality assurance, ‘bug’ or system defect corrections with third party development vendors.

Site performance reporting and updates

Vendor relationship management; including work development, utilization of resources, prioritization, release coordination, billing and communication.

Participation in regular meetings working with team to review issues and enhancements, communicate resolution plans and determine requirements of the highest priority for system release scheduling.

Responsible for monthly system deliveries; validate correctness of solutions, determine business requirements have been met specifications documenting requirements and/or contributing to design and implementation of user manuals or assess possible shortcomings identifying issues relating to delivery with potential business impact.

Ensures deadlines for regularly scheduled reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) for internal and external purposes are met. Manages to budget allocations and maximizes returns from financial and resource allocation investments.

Works closely with Marketing/Sales, Product and Operations teams to provide an enhanced and superior user experience with site-related content, design, navigation and functionality.

Education and/or Experience:
-
Bachelors degree in Information Systems or related discipline required

3 to 5 years experience in managing online initiatives and strategy execution

Familiarity with, and experience in Business/Data Analysis concepts, Project Management, and Quality Analysis techniques

Familiarity with current web based development languages and technology.

Must have strong background in technical and development methodologies, code staging, test plans, UAT and release strategies

Experience with web based applications and processes within the insurance industry (preferred)

Must be resourceful, industrious, willing to take on new tasks and proactively learn new technologies to keep up with business needs

Must be able to work under tight deadlines efficiently and with high quality

Must possess strong organizational skills with demonstrated attention to detail
