UNAIC A.M. Best Rating Reaffirmed. Reinsurance Program for 2010-2011 Finalized.

On June 16, 2010, A.M. Best reaffirmed Universal North America Insurance Company’s (UNAIC) rating of A- (Excellent). The rating was reaffirmed after a review of UNAIC’s financial position, operating performance and market profile. Universal Insurance Company of North America still maintains a Demotech Rating of A’ Unsurpassed.

HO-3 and DP policies submitted with sinkhole coverage will refer unbound.
Effective July 15 for all new HO-3 policies and September 15 for all new DP policies that are submitted with sinkhole coverage will refer to underwriting unbound. Please allow up to 45 days for processing these policies. If immediate coverage issuance is needed, you may opt to exclude sinkhole coverage, then request the coverage endorsement be added. A sinkhole inspection is required for sinkhole coverage to be considered. To request a sinkhole inspection, please call SDII Global Corporation at (800) 454-SDII. These restrictions do not apply to HO-4 and HO-6 policies.
