If a severe loss has occurred and there is an immediate need for shelter, clothing and food, notify your adjuster. Your adjuster may be able to provide an advance claims payment within 24 hours.
Depending on whether or not you have a mortgage and who is handling the repairs, the claims payment check may be issued and mailed to the following:
- The named insured on the policy,
- The named insured on the policy and the mortgage holder(s),
- Universal North America®'s Preferred Pro,
- The named insured on the policy and Universal North America's Preferred Pro (in emergencies only),
- The named insured on the policy and the mortgage company or lienholder(s) and Universal North America's Preferred Pro (for reconstruction services only).
