Get your home inspected:
Inspections at a cost of $150 are available directly through SkyeTec to all Florida homeowners. Inspections are scheduled within 7 days from sign up.

Click here to sign up for an inspection.

Your home inspection consists of a thorough examination of your home's existing wind-resistant features: specifically roof deck attachments; roof coverings; secondary water barrier; gable end bracing; foundation to wall roof connections; as well as openings such as windows, doors and garage doors.

After the inspection, you'll receive a Uniform Mitigation Verification Form (UMVIF) on the spot. This form documents any wind-resistant features your home has currently.

Several weeks after your inspection, you will receive a Wind Inspection Report that includes optional improvement plans, their costs and estimated saving associated with each. With the Wind Inspection Report as your guide, make the improvements to your home that you feel are necessary to keep your family and property safe.

After you have finished your improvements, apply for your free re-inspection from SkyeTec. A SkyeTec inspector will re-evaluate your home, and provide you with an updated UMVIF.

After receiving your second UMVIF, contact your Universal North America agent, and find out how much you may be saving your Universal homeowners insurance. You'll feel confident knowing you've made your home and family safer.
